Yesterday I was in my first surf competition. It was a relay with each team containing a short boarder, long boarder, and a soft top, or a SUP. I was on my glide eight' four" SUP. There were 5 teams each with three people, red, green, black, white, and skins. We were red. The goal was to start on the beach, paddle out, catch a wave, come back in and tag your team mate. Each team had to do that as many times as possible in the heat. The judges scored each team on their two best rides. The semi final heats were fifteen minutes each, and the final heat was a half hour. We made it into the finals and got third place. We each got a "Hippy Tree" shirt and calendar.
